Wayne County Home Visiting Local Leadership Group

Welcome to the Wayne County Home Visiting Local Leadership Group (LLG)!

We welcome you as a partner in the home visiting continuum of services—working to create a seamless flow of support to pregnant women and parents of young children under three years. We have created this page to serve and support you in your work. You may be a home visitor, social worker, health care provider, or work in the early childhood development system. Our commitment is to build a web-based resource that enhances your effectiveness as a home visitor and ultimately makes healthy families.

Who is this group? We are one of eleven Local Leadership Groups (LLG) across the state operating in counties where historically pregnant women and children are at-risk for adverse health outcomes. The Michigan Home Visiting Initiative (MDHHS) funds and supports the work of the LLG.

What is its purpose? The purpose of the LLG is to build the capacity to integrate home visiting services into an early childhood system: including the development of a coordinated early childhood system at the community level of home visiting and to provide a governance structure or coordinated system of planning home visiting services.

What are the membership requirements? Membership in the group is open to providers who either provide home visiting services to pregnant women and parents of young children or who work in partnership with these programs.

When and where do you meet? The Wayne Local Leadership Group meetings will continue to be virtual until further notice. We meet on the third Tuesday every other month, 10:00 -11:30 AM. Please join us!
